Attn 8th Graders, if you are interested in being a part of Fusion next year, the dance team will be having auditions tomorrow, Saturday, February 25th from 8:30am-4pm in Franklin High School’s Main Gym. Remember to wear solid black, have a positive attitude and try your best. Completed applications are due at the beginning of try-outs, if you were unable to attend the informational meeting, you can print one from Schoolloop or contact the Franklin high School dance teacher to send one electronically. Good luck dancers! 



Toby Johnson is pleased to announce that this year’s 8th grade promotion ceremonies are scheduled for the the large gymnasium at Franklin High School. The change in venue will make seating more comfortable for our guests, and help to make the transition to high school more tangible for our students. The ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday, May 25 and all eligible 8th grade students will receive four (4) tickets for their family to attend the event. Students must attend school on the day of the event to be eligible for the ceremony.


Ceremony Times:

9:00am            Hornets 8 Team

11:30am          Tigers 8 Team

1:30pm            Aggies 8 Team


Sacramento State is hosting an event on Saturday March 18th from 8:00am-1:00pm. A workshop for parents and students in grades 6-9 on college planning. Please visit the website for more information also the attached flyers.




 Leadership is a class that only 8th graders can take. We plan all the Dances, Friday Games, Spirt Days, and Unity Days. It is very fun and we get to learn how to become leaders of Toby. Also, we get to be taught by our wonderful activities director, Mrs. Rosso. Here is what some of the students have to say about this elective.

To Join Leadership

 If you are a seventh grader and you would like to be in leadership next year all you have to do is wait until sign ups. When that time comes just fill out the form then Ms.Kincaid will interview you. If she thinks that you are qualified to be in leadership then you will have it as you elective either all year or two out of the four terms. So, if you like to have fun and meet new people that you should sign up for leadership!
