Cross Country team Hoodies

The inaugural cross country team's sweatshirts have arrived. They are a special price of $15 to celebrate the 1st season ever at TJMS. Purchase yours today as sized are limited. Once you have paid at the student store bring your receipt to Mrs. T Jones in the PE dept.

Wrestling Team Hoodies and T-shirt

Wrestling spirit wear has been designed and is ready to be ordered. You have until Wednesday, January 25th to place and pay for your order. We're encouraging parents and other families members to support the team and order your own spirit wear as well.

The 3-day tryout period will begin on Wednesday, January 4th for ALL 7th grade boys and girls, specific times will be posted prior to Winter Break. The requirements to tryout are a 2016-2017 EGUSD Sports Physical from signed by a PHYSICIAN AND YOUR PARENT/GUARDIAN on file with the Athletic Director and a 2016-2017 EGUSD Head Injury and Concussion form. Also a minimum GPA of a 2.0 for term 3 final grades is required. All forms can be found in the Athletics "Locker:"

Attention all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls interested in the wrestling team…


Practice will begin on WEDNESDAY. NOVEMBER 30th from 6:00-7:30 pm at Pinkerton Middle school. Our coaching staff for the TJMS wrestling team will be holding all practices at Pinkerton in conjunction with Pinkerton’s program. You will still be representing Johnson Jaguars at the weekend tournament but practice will be offsite.


Once you have your required paperwork turned in to Mrs. T. Jones in the PE department you are invited to join practice. Please do not attend practice until you have been cleared by Mrs. T. Jones, if you do the coach will turn you away.  If you have any questions or need paperwork please go to the PE Office.


Practices will be on MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and THURSDAYS.


Both REQUIRED forms can be found on the NEW page or in the ATHLETICS LOCKER on School Loop and must be signed by parent/guardian and your physician before any practice can be attended. If you have previously turned in the forms for volleyball or basketball you are good but please check in with Theresa Jones, TJMS Athletic Director before attending any practice.

8th Grade Basketball Tryouts

Cross Country Team Info

Practices will begin on Monday, August 29th and will be every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the season (end of October). Some practices will take place on Saturdays if the students are not running in a meet that day. Practice times will be 3:00-4:00.


As with all sports at TJMS, all participants must have a completed and signed 2016-17 Sports Physical and a Head Injury and Concussion form on file. Without those two items the student-athlete may not participate. Both forms can be found attached to this message or on the front page of School Loop under Quick Link on the left hand side, or under the Athletics tab on School Loop or on the EGUSD website.

Volleyball Tryouts

**Must have a filled out and physical form filled out and signed by parent and doctor. Also, a Head Injury and Concussion form must be filled out and signed.  Without these forms students cannot participate in tryouts. Papers will be accepted on days other than Monday but we'd like as many as possible to come in Monday so we can devote entire time on the court for tryouts

Tuesday, August 30--3-4:30pm

Wednesday, August 31--3:00-4:30pm

Thursday, September 1--3:00-4:30pm

If any 7th grade student is interested in Summer School please fill out the attached registration form and return it by April 28th.


Please see attached document regarding the postponement of the Pedestrian bridge work.


Promoting 8th graders will receive promotion tickets for admission to the ceremony.  These tickets will be distributed after promotion practice on Wednesday, May 24th.  If the promoting eighth grader has overdue books then they will not receive their tickets until their account is current.   Due to the large size of each of our promoting classes and the maximum capacity in the gym, each student will be given 4 tickets.  This is the maximum number of tickets we can hand out so there will be NO extra tickets available for pick up on the day of promotion, no exceptions.
