Would like to have dinner or ice cream at Leatherby’s and support your school? If so go to Leatherby’s on October 29th. The PE department is sponsoring a night at Leatherby’s. Our school will make money from 5 pm until 11pm. Bring the blue flyer you receive in advocacy on October 29th with you to Leatherby’s. [10/24 - 10/27]
Attention Royal J members: On Wednesday, October 29th, there will be a mandatory meeting for all those Royal J members who have satisfied their Royal J requirements and are planning to participate in the Royal J December ceremony. (Please note that only those members who turned in all of their petitions by October 17th are eligible to participate in the winter ceremony.) The meeting will begin promptly at 8 am and be held in Mrs. Rashid’s room, MH8. All eligible candidates must attend this meeting in order to receive instruction on fulfilling the remaining requirements for their Royal J. [10/24 - 10/27]
It’s the second week of the library’s chilling challenge and so far three high school students have won prizes! Come on Toby students; don’t be too scared to try! You may enter once a week as the challenge changes each week. For detailed instructions, go to the Franklin Library tab on school loop and then click on the “Contests” page. Entry forms are located inside the library at the north bulletin board and must be dropped in the ballot box at the library front desk. Each Monday, the previous weeks’ winners will be announced and prizes can be picked up at the textbook window. [10/24]
Members of the Japanese National Honor Society will present a special program on Japanese culture is today at 3:30 pm at Franklin Library where you will learn how to write your name in Japanese, practice conversational Japanese, and have cool Japanese treats. Due to space limitations, we will limit participation to the first 30 tweens and teens. Join the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) at Franklin Library on Wednesday, October 29 at 3:30 pm. Through TAB, teens learn and develop leadership and teamwork skills , goal setting and management, select book titles and other materials, earn community service hours and have fun.
